Inspired by the boudoir dolls of the 1920s & 30s, Elouise has been made following the same lines as the old dolls. A mask was made for her face & covered in fabric & painted.  A soft body with papier mache arms & lower legs was attached to the face mask.

Elouise is mainly dressed in silk & cotton lace. She has drawers & a net & cotton lace petticoat.

Her bodice has a motif from the floral fabric used in her skirt & sleeves embroidered with tiny seed beads.

Her hair is 100% silk & styled in the plaits & bun that were very popular on these dolls.

Her hat was formed over a hat block & decorated with cotton lace, feathers & sequins.

She wears cloisonne earrings & has a hand-painted brooch at her neck.

Her 'boots' are decorated & trimmed with leather.
