I have been designing and making dolls for over 20 years.

Having been unable to find paper sewing patterns that were suitable, I started to design my own fabric dolls. This has led to the publication of the sewing patterns of my original designs with clear, detailed instructions.

Fascinated by the ‘little people’, I have experimented with a diversity of media; moving from, the original soft-sculpted cloth dolls through porcelain dolls, reproductions, ‘rescued’ antiques and artists dolls, to polymer clay figures with metal armatures.

I aim always to establish the character of each doll & to explore the endless possibilities for costume and decoration.

I am now able to devote all my energies towards creating and making new handmade characters with the intention of never making two the same!
